Digital Identity Privacy Search Personal Data
STATUS_

An early research direction around personal digital exposure — defining the process before any public service.

QUESTION_

Can someone understand their own digital footprint well enough to decide what to keep, fix or remove?

EXPERIMENT_

HuellaZero explores turning unwanted personal digital exposure into an understandable process: locating where your data appears, classifying what it is, identifying the source, preparing requests, and tracking the outcome.

HOW_IT_WORKS_
  • Locate: find where personal information appears publicly.
  • Classify: group what was found — identity, contact, exposure type.
  • Identify the source: where the data came from and who controls it.
  • Prepare and track: structure removal or correction requests and follow their status.
WHAT_IT_EXPLORES_
  • Which parts of a footprint are actually controllable.
  • How to make removal requests repeatable instead of ad-hoc.
  • The line between privacy management and privacy theater.
CURRENT_STATE_

HuellaZero is an experiment in the research phase: we are defining the process and testing it on controlled examples. It is not a public service yet.

LIMITS_
  • No data is collected or stored by the experiment.
  • Full removal is not always possible; the law and platform rules apply.
  • It is guidance and structure, not a guarantee of deletion.
WHAT_WE_LEARN_
  • Understanding a footprint is the hard part; acting on it becomes clearer afterwards.
  • The process must be repeatable to be useful at scale.
