QUESTION_

How can we show, in one clear view, where a business process actually spends its time — before anyone decides what to automate?

EXPERIMENT_

FLUX maps how a process really works today: the steps, the handoffs, the waiting points, the manual checks. Its output is a readable view of friction — not a promise to fix it.

HOW_IT_WORKS_
  • Break the process into its real steps, including the ones nobody documented.
  • Measure or estimate the time and effort spent at each step.
  • Mark the friction: waits, repeated data entry, handoffs between people or tools.
  • Produce a view that separates the steps worth automating from the steps worth fixing first.
WHAT_IT_EXPLORES_
  • Where the biggest time losses sit — and whether they are even automatable.
  • Which steps depend on human judgement and should stay manual.
  • Whether the process should be redesigned instead of automated.
CURRENT_STATE_

FLUX is being applied to real workflows at INFINITEROLES. It currently produces structured process maps with friction annotations; the output is reviewed with the team before any automation decision is made.

LIMITS_
  • FLUX does not implement automation; it informs the decision.
  • Estimates are only as good as the inputs people provide.
  • It cannot see work that is never reported or measured.
WHAT_WE_LEARN_
  • Most automation failures are decisions made before the process was understood.
  • The map is the deliverable; the automation comes later.
